Current situation

It is an exciting time. We follow the guidelines regarding health office Germany. Winterberg is not considered to be a special security risk at the moment. 

We apply the cancellation conditions of the Recron.

Arrival and departure days

Why can't I travel on Sunday? You can choose Sunday as the day of departure if you book last minute. Leaving is possible on Sundays, but the reception is closed.


Can I cancel?

The booking or reservation you make is legal. A right of withdrawal (the so-called cooling-off period) of 14 days does not apply to the agreements you conclude with Welcome in Winterberg. We recommend that you make a travel and cancellation insurance anyway. The Recron conditions apply to our services.


Can I book extras, such as a cot and / or highchair?

In most cases this is in the accommodation. If not, you can bring it by your own.

Are there accommodations that are suitable for the disabled?

We do not have accommodations that meet the rules for the disabled. There are, however, various accommodations that are ground floor and spacious. Please contact our reception for this specific information.


Until what age do children stay for free?

Children up to two years stay for free. You must always report free children (!) When booking.


Is it allowed to have visitors?

Naturally, visitors are welcome. Are you staying in a house where more people are allowed than the number of people in your booking? Then the visitors can even spend the night. You have to always report this in advance and the maximum number of people may never be exceeded, in other words: safety requirements.


I have left or lost something. Where can I report this?

Report immediately if you miss something at our reception. Our Housekeeping checks and cleans the house after departure. We store, collect and archive lost and found items for 1 year.


Can I use WiFi in the accommodation?

Most accommodations are privately owned. As a result, WiFi is not available in every accommodation. When mentioning on our site, it is always stated whether the home has Wifi. If so, you can simply check your e-mails, twitter, let the children chat with their friends or work online with your own laptop during your holiday. Of course you can also surprise those staying at home directly from your vacation spot with your vacation photos and videos and share them via social media. With the same ease as at home.

Many accommodations are in a quieter location, which means that the range in the accommodation is not always optimal.


What are the rental conditions?

What is included in the rent?

The rental price includes energy costs. Bed linen, towels, final cleaning and tourist tax are mandatory and can be seen on your reservation overview and / or invoice. You can rent extra towels, kitchen textiles separately on request.


What are the arrival and departure times?

You can check in from 3.30 pm to 5 pm and on Friday until 8 pm. Will you arrive later? Inform us in time. We will explain the next steps to you. You check out before 9.30 a.m

Are pets allowed?

Pets are allowed in a number of properties.  Only one per reservation. This is stated on the site. Bringing a pet costs € 25,0, always report it in advance.


Can I change my reservation?

Yes you can and it is easy. You can change your booking by contacting our reception.


I have already submitted my credit card details, but now I receive an invoice. How is that possible?

When booking through a tour operator ( etc) you will be asked for your credit card details. However, you do not pay via a credit card. This information is requested as a guarantee. That is why you will receive an invoice from us, with which you can make a down payment and / or a residual payment.


Why is bed linen mandatory?

Because we are looking out for quality- and hygienestandards.



How can I pay? With your reservation you will receive a confirmation email with a link to pay. The possibilities are endless: Paypal, Ideal, credit card, Iban, Bancontact etc.


Can I book extra towels?

In the linnen package there is a big and a small towel per person. Extra towels you can book in advance á  3,95 euro per package.
